It's been a long time without updates I know, but here it goes:

A sequel to ‘The darker side of Oz' is underway, and to respond to all the enquiries, Jack Pumpkinhead will be in it, and play a significant role. Also, the novel will follow the tale of ‘The marvellous land of Oz' but you’ll find new adventures and characters, the return of favourites who didn’t appear in the original book, and some other familiar faces from the Oz world.

The Signing tour of 2011 has begun and below is a list of confirmed dates so far, with more to follow;

Also visit Goodreads, where you can read the first chapter of the book for free.

The novel’s available in stores through the U.K at Travelingman, Waterstones etc. and from online stores such as Waterstones, Amazon, Blackwell's & Play, with signed copies and limited prints & T-shirts from the Official store.

(If ordering outside of the U.K, the official store is the most cost efficient regarding p&p)

Finally, I want to thank everyone I’ve met at signings and conventions so far, it’s been great meeting some really interesting people, and I truly appreciate all the encouraging support and kind words I’ve had from fans.

See you along the yellow bricks,

Scott

Just a quick note to let you that the book’s still doing well, and to clear up some info that’s been brought to light. The rumours of a production company’s interest in me writing a screen play are true, but it’s all smoke with no green-light right now, and the same goes for rumours that the book’s also being adapted into other media forms. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens...

Here’s a list of signings coming soon, along with more to follow.

There's also the possibility of a Halloween event.

Finally, just to reiterate, the book’s available from online stores such as Waterstones, Amazon, Blackwell's, Play, Fast Print, Whsmith, with signed copies and limited prints & T-shirts from the Official store.

Well that’s all for now folks, and if you’ve read and enjoyed the book a quick review on Amazon etc. would really help to get more people interested.
Spread the word like a virus, what’s the worst that could happen.

Take care,
Scott

There's been some great reviews posted for the novel, most recently at www.sciencefictionandfantasy.co.uk. For reader's who enjoyed the book, a review on sites like Amazon etc. would be much appreciated, and help spread the word. As you can tell, the site's had an overhaul thanks to Darren Phillips, and looks pretty impressive. Also, the online Store's had a reboot and 'Cowardly Lion' T-shirt's are selling out fast. Finally, I'll be signing copies of the book at 'Bristol-Con10' on November 6th, and I'll keep you updated with anymore dates and news. Take care, Scott.

It's official. the novel's now available through Waterstones, Amazon, Blackwell's, Fast Print, Whsmith, and other online retailers.

Though the only way to get signed copies and merchandise is still through the official store. If you've already picked up a copy of the book and liked it give it a review on any of the above sites, It'd be great to hear what you think, and would help spread the word. Also, the book's also had it's first review, and it comes courtesy of A.J Kirby, author of 'Bully', and 'The magpie trap';

'Excellently written, brilliantly characterised and well paced throughout...brilliant twists on the traditional Oz story and some great set-pieces too. I thought stylistically it was very filmic as it was full of action, but it was also quite poetic with some lovely discriptive pieces. I was particularly pleased with the characters of the cowardly lion, whose back-story was excellently done and whose final redemption was great, and also the scarecrow, who provided great comic relief and some great dialogue. This is a great fable about childhood and growing up and about power and corruption written in a no-hold's barred way.'

Being the first review (and a postitive one) it's something I'm proud of, and hopefully we'll see more popping out of the ground soon. Finally, you may still notice some compatibility issues with the website and certain explorer apps, but these will be fixed soon. All the best.

4th June 2010

A quick note to let everyone know that I'll be on vacation until the end of June. Orders can still be placed on the site, but won't be dispatched until I get back. So place your orders as per usual, as some items are selling out quickly, and certain t-shirt sizes and prints are available on a first come first served basis only. Also, the store is still having problems with some web explorers, but runs perfectly with Mozilla firefox. All the best.

I just want to thank everyone at the Bristol convention over the weekend, the book got a lot of interest and I met some really great people. So for those of you who bought the book, I really hope you enjoy it, and I'd love to hear your thoughts. A lot of people asked if the book's intended to be the first installment of a series, and whilst the novel is a full story in it's own right there's definitely room for another darker side of Oz book and I'd love to write it. So for those who want to see it happen it would help if you could leave feedback, tell your friends, write a review, and anything to make another book possible, because as much as I want to continue the series it's really hard if I don't even know if people liked the first one.

For those who wanted for advice about publishing etc. if you have any further questions just send me an email and I'll help the best I can.

Also, due to high demand there's now a T-shirt of the cowardly lion available here, Scarecrow T-shirts are back in stock, and for those who showed interest in the posters contact me.

Again, thanks to everyone for coming along, and I'm sorry that I missed some people who wanted me to sign the book for them, but if you contact me I'll try to sort something out. I hope all had a great time, and if you like you can join the 'darker side of oz' facebook group to keep up to date with things.

Finally, if you're having trouble viewing this site and ordering, it may have to do with compatibility issues with explorer, so please contact me if you exerience problems when ordering.
